We are starting to learn how to work with map making software. This is the second random encounter map we have made. The terrain features are designed to provide space for ranged attacks, tactical retreats – by the party or the enemy NPCs – into cover and concealment, something that we have noticed is missing from many of the forest and merchant’s trail maps we have come across online. This map is designed be be scaled as 292ft by 292ft, this puts the pathway at five to seven foot wide in most areas of the map. The natural ridge in the middle gives way to a 40ft drop down to the grassy area below. There are two versions, one for day and one for night. We hope you like it.
